Our new Personal Teller Machines (PTMs) will replace traditional ATMs in each of our branches. The PTM can do everything you would expect from an ATM and it can connect you with a live, local teller from one of our Montana branches to assist you with more of your banking needs. The PTM offers faster, more efficient service from the comfort of your car and without having to wait in line at one of our branches.

FAQ

What is a PTM or Personal Teller Machine?

A PTM is a Personal Teller Machine, an interactive ATM that allows you to video chat with a live, local teller. Members can expect the same great service from our amazing teller team in a more convenient environment. With the PTM members can make loan payments, multiple deposits, withdrawals, and ask questions.

What are the hours customers can utilize the Personal Teller feature?

The live teller feature on our PTMs has set hours, 7:30am-5:30pm Monday- Friday, holiday hours will differ. Outside of those hours, the machine can be used 24/7 as an ATM.

What are the benefits of a Personal Teller?

Members will have an improved drive-through experience with shorter wait times, face-to-face interactions, additional privacy, a simpler transaction flow, and faster service.

How does the Personal Teller Machine work?

To get started, simply touch the screen to begin a teller-assisted session or insert your card for an ATM transaction. When you select a teller-assisted transaction, your teller will appear onscreen for a two-way video session. Your teller will be able to assist you with the same transactions that you usually conduct. Please watch the video above for an example of how the machine operates.

What sort of transactions can and can’t I do with the Personal Teller Machine?

Most drive-through teller transactions can be done with the PTM. Some of the transactions include deposits, withdraws, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, and more! Our Personal Teller cannot give paper statements, cashier’s checks, or handle loose change. Any of our team members in the branches will be happy to assist you with these transactions.

Can I select the denomination of bills to withdraw?

Yes! Unlike an ATM, the teller can dispense your money in increments of $1, $5, $20, and $50 bills. However, if you use the Personal Teller as an ATM, the money given will provide the least number of bills possible. For example, if you request $100 through an ATM transaction using your debit card, it will give you two $50 bills.

Can the Personal Teller be used as an ATM?

Absolutely. All Personal Teller Systems have ATM capabilities 24/7. Insert your Intrepid CU debit or credit card to get started. While operating as an ATM, the Personal Teller can accept both cash and check deposits. Please note, holds on deposits done as an ATM may have different holds than a teller assisted transaction.

Is my conversation private?

Yes. You and your teller can see and hear each other using a video camera with a built-in speaker. You also have the capability to plug-in headphones to the machine for even more privacy.

Is there a delay posting my transaction using Personal Teller?

Nope. Your account will be updated in real time just as it would inside the branch. If you are unsure about the availability of your funds, just ask your teller during the transaction. The transactions will also be immediately available to review through our online and mobile banking applications.

Where are the tellers located?

Our Personal Tellers are located in Helena, at our Kessler Branch.

Are Personal Tellers replacing Intrepid CU employees?

Nope. We are utilizing the staff you have come to know and love and promoting them into the Personal Teller role. This is creating a new career path for our outstanding Intrepid Staff.
